Smith Mountain Lake State Park master plan to be presented Sept. 30
RICHMOND — A public meeting to discuss long-range planning for Smith Mountain Lake State Park will be Sept. 30, 6 p.m., at the park’s visitor center, 1235 State Park Road, Huddleston.

The draft master plan for Smith Mountain Lake State Park proposes a 60-site campground, 10 cabins, a paved off-road multipurpose trail, a new picnic area and the reconfiguration of the park entrance.
The 1,248-acre park is situated on Smith Mountain Lake in Bedford and Franklin counties.
