BENTONVILLE, Va. – Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. Shenandoah River State Park is thrilled to announce the return of the Shenandoah River Adventure Race and Shenandoah River Aquablaze, set to take place this September. These events are expected to draw participants from across the region for a weekend of thrilling competition and outdoor excitement.

Then, on Sept. 7, the park will host the Shenandoah River Aquablaze. Aquablazing is when Appalachian Trail thru-hikers kayak or canoe a portion of the trail. Now, explorers have the chance to experience an Aquablaze along the Shenandoah River with a backdrop of Skyline Drive.
