40th Anniversary Events
Flowers and Fossils
Redrock Mountain, established in 2004, is one of the least-visited NAPs in Virginia. This trip offers an exceptional opportunity to see the Commonwealth's best population of the rare Fringed Phacelia while in bloom. Led by knowledgeable DNH staff, the tour begins at the Museum of the Middle Appalachians for an introduction to the unique natural and cultural history of the region. From the museum parking lot, participants will carpool to the Preserve due to very limited parking space.
Note that there is a small fee for admission to the Museum. For more information on the museum and costs, visit:
Museum of the Middle Appalachians website.
