Hike into 2026 at Leesylvania State Park. Join rangers for 2 hikes available on New Years Day.

Wetland Hike: 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Meet a ranger at Bushey Point trailhead to get started. This trail is partially accessible, easy rating, and 1.22 miles long. The surface is soil, boardwalk, and compacted gravel. The hike provides great views of Powell's Creek, the railroad, and wetlands. Leashed furry friends are welcome.

Kids Sensory Hike: 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Meet rangers at the Visitor Center to begin the kids sensory hike along Potomac Trail. This trail is 0.4 miles long, accessible, stroller friendly, and rated easy. Explore nature with your senses with great views of the Potomac River.

Stop by the Visitor Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for warm beverages and First Day Hike stickers while supplies last. Do not forget your reusable cup and water bottle!
