Nature Journals are great way to practice intentional observation of your surroundings. We will talk about some techniques for including experiences in the journal, like poems, scenery drawings, and leaf and bark rubbings. We will then go to three scenic places in the park, spending about 10-15 minutes at each location, giving the students an opportunity to draw and put their thoughts down on paper.

Please meet at the Visitor Center. Materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own journal or art supplies. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.
