It’s time to get creative!

Join the Friends of Shenandoah River State Park for a fun and hands-on crafting experience. They’ll provide everything you need—beads, twine, leather, paint, and more—to transform a hiking stick into a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All you need to bring is the stick of your choice, found during your adventures in the park.

Stop by the River Bend Discovery Center any time between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. to make your masterpiece. 

A donation to the Friends group is encouraged to participate in the decorating activity. Contributions will be accepted at the event. To learn more about the Friends of Shenandoah River State Park, please visit their website here.

በየዓመቱ ጥር 1 ላይ ቨርጂኒያ ግዛት ፓርኮች የመጀመሪያ ቀን የእግር ጉዞዎችን ያከብራሉ። ይህ አገር አቀፍ ተነሳሽነት ሰዎች ከተፈጥሮ ጋር በመገናኘት እና በስቴት ፓርክ ውስጥ ዘላቂ ትውስታዎችን በማድረግ በአዲሱ ዓመት እንዲደውሉ ይጋብዛል. በሬንገር የሚመሩ እና በራስ የሚመሩ የመጀመሪያ ቀን የእግር ጉዞዎች በስቴቱ ውስጥ ይቀርባሉ፣ ይህም በሁሉም የእድሜ እና የክህሎት ደረጃ ጎብኚዎች ከቤት ውጭ እንዲጎበኙ እድል ይሰጣቸዋል። ጃንዋሪ 1 በሁሉም የቨርጂኒያ ግዛት ፓርኮች ነጻ የመኪና ማቆሚያ ቀን ነው። (በተፈጥሮ ድልድይ ያለው የመግቢያ ክፍያ አሁንም ይሠራል)።
