| መግለጫ፦ | Virginia Outdoors Foundation received grant funds for a partial purchase of an easement on Panamint Farm located in Louisa County. The 533-acre cattle farm currently supports pastures and grazing with gently rolling hills throughout with a mixture of open fields and woodland. Gold Mine Creek flows along the western property boundary. There are over 8,800 feet of perennial and intermittent streams with 35- to 50-foot fenced riparian buffers providing habitat and protection for wildlife. The property contains farmland and forest with roughly 200 acres of native Oak Hickory mixed forestlands. |
